Taylor Swift Is Probably Not Going To Be In X-Men: Apocalypse
By Nick Tylwalk
I know what your first reaction is going to be. Why would anyone even think Taylor Swift was joining the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse?

Well, we can lay the blame at the feet of social media , I suppose, or at least tweets featuring the world’s most powerful pop star (as Apple Music nods silently in the background) hanging out with cast members from Apocalypse without any context. Suddenly one thing leads to another, speculation becomes rampant, and people start assuming that maybe Swift is going to have some kind of role in the upcoming film.
Not so fast, according to Sophie Turner. She counts as “Someone Who Would Know” since she is in X-Men: Apocalypse as Jean Grey. Here’s what Turner told Time about the picture shared with the world by Simon Kinberg and how it came about:
"Actually that was just us going to her concert and then meeting her. I think people are thinking she’s going to be in X-Men. But you never know. She could be great in this movie."
Ah, thanks for leaving the door open just the tiniest crack Sophie! We’ll assume she was just having fun with the Swifties there.
Maybe Taylor could give us a throwback to the days when super hero movie soundtracks had songs by prominent pop artists on them. If she does, she’ll have until May 27, 2016, when X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters, to come up with something.
