Will The Deadpool Trailer Show In Front Of Fantastic Four?
By Nick Tylwalk
The Deadpool trailer sure does seem to have everyone talking. It doesn’t matter if it’s the fans who got to see it in Hall H at Comic-Con or everyone who checked the subsequent low quality leak, but praise for its action and tone has been nearly unanimous. The only question now is when we’ll all get to see it for real, and leading man Ryan Reynolds has addressed that topic by stating that it should be ready in three weeks, once the special effects work on the trailer is complete.

ComicBookMovie.com would like to remind us that something else is coming in slightly more than three weeks: the Fantastic Four movie, which opens on August 7.Will we see the Deadpool trailer in front of the reboot?
That seems likely if Reynolds is correct on his timeline, and it makes sense for one very big reason. Thanks to Fox’s cold war with Marvel over the X-Men and Fantastic Four movie rights, it’s forced to do the heavy lifting for promoting these films all by itself. Since that’s the case, it would be a huge missed opportunity to not promote Deadpool (and X-Men: Apocalypse, if it has a teaser or trailer ready) to fans going to see Fantastic Four — especially since all signs are that Josh Trank’s new vision of the most famous family in comics might not suck.
I’m kind of old fashioned in the sense that while I love super hero movie trailers hitting the internet, I also still prefer to see them on the big screen. Here’s hoping that we aren’t waiting long to see the Merc With a Mouth in our multiplexes, even if they have to go the green band route to get him there.
