Is Warner Bros. Prioritizing Batman Solo Film?

Via SuperHeroHype, we have news that two Ben Affleck projects have been delayed by Warner Bros. The site is speculating that this is due to the studio prioritizing the Batman solo film and freeing up Affleck’s already busy schedule.

The two projects taking a backseat are Live by Night and The Accountant. Live by Night — in which Affleck is starring, directing, writing, and producing — has been delayed from October 2016 to sometime in 2017. The Accountant — with Affleck only starring — has been delayed from its original release date of January 2016 to October 7, 2016.
It was recently announced that Ben Affleck would be co-writing — with DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns — starring, and directing an as-of-yet untitled Batman solo film. The storyline is still being developed, but avid fans can catch the first introduction of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in the DC Extended Universe in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a United States release date of March 25, 2016. It will be directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from a story by David Goyer and Zack Snyder, and will star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves, Holly Hunter as a United States Senator, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg, and Callan Mulvey, Scoot McNairy, and Jena Malone in unspecified roles.
