The Astonishing Ant-Man #1 First Look: Will Scott Lang Go Bad Again?
By Nick Tylwalk
Scott Lang doesn’t have the shiniest of pasts when it comes to Marvel super heroes. As Ant-Man, he’s done a lot of good, though sometimes reluctantly, but at least he’s put his criminal past behind him.

Or has he? As Scott gets ready to star in his All-New, All Different Marvel series, The Astonishing Ant-Man, you’ve surely seen him standing with a bunch of super villains on the cover … but with his fingers crossed behind his back. It’s classic Scott Lang, potentially in over his head and up to … well, who knows what?
All Marvel is saying about The Astonishing Ant-Man #1, by writer Nick Spencer and artist Ramon Rosanas, is that it features the following question: “But when a curveball completely upends Scott’s entire life, will he continue to be a hero?” Hopefully, the answer is yes. Plus poor Grizzly seemed to be making a lot of progress toward getting his life back on track too. I’d almost be sadder to see him slide back toward being a bad guy.
Regardless, since this creative team has already proven it can bring both the action and the funny, it should be an entertaining ride. We’ve got a first look at some of The Astonishing Ant-Man #1 below, and you can find the whole thing in stores on October 21.
