Joe Russo teases first Avengers: Infinity War trailer release date
By Erik Swann
Director Joe Russo has provided some clarity on when we might see the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War!
As most probably know by now, the first footage of Avengers: Infinity War was unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo this past weekend, and to say that it made an impression would be an understatement. Unsurprisingly, fans who could not attend the event are now anxious to know when the first footage might be released to the public. In response, co-director Joe Russo has provided a vague yet hopeful answer.
When asked by Good Morning America about the trailer’s release date, Russo would only say “soon,” and then revealed they are currently cutting a trailer:

"Soon. I’ll say soon. We’re hard at work on a trailer. I don’t want to spoil it for them, but stay tuned. You’re going to get an Infinity War teaser very soon."
Well, it’s not much, but it is something to keep us fans going until we get our first look at the movie. It’s not at all surprising that the sizzle reel wasn’t made available to the public. Like San Diego Comic-Con, footage shown at D23 is typically kept under wraps.
Of course, we all know that we’ll get an official glimpse of the film eventually, but no one can deny there’s a feeling of sheer satisfaction in getting to see it early.

Regardless, Russo’s assurance should serve as a comfort for what is sure to be a long (and excruciating) wait.
Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on May 4, 2018, and the Untitled Avengers Sequel will follow on May 3, 2019.
