The Suicide Squad sequel is slowly coming together, as a script treatment has been prepared and a director is close to being hired. One aspect of the project that’s still unclear is which characters will be returning. The status of characters like Harley Quinn and the Joker are already in question due to the upcoming Gotham City Sirens. Now, it seems that another character may not be coming back.
In a recent interview with USA Today, Cara Delevigne, who played Dr. June Moon (Enchantress), revealed she’s “pretty sure” she won’t return for the sequel.
Despite this, the actress still spoke positively about her experience working on the first film, and said she’ll probably still spend time on the set of the second installment:
"“It was a life-changing experience and of course I’d do another one, but I don’t think it would make sense for the character…I’ll probably still be on the set hanging out with everyone.”"

It honestly makes sense she wouldn’t return. Although June Moon survived the events of the movie, there’s not much more that can be done with the character now that her villainess alter ego is apparently dead. Also, let’s not forget Moon and the Enchantress weren’t very well-received by critics or fans.
With Delevigne likely not to appear, it will be interesting to see if or how the film addresses her character’s absence and her eventual fate.
