3. Professor X

Professor Charles Xavier is one of the strongest telepaths in the entire X-Men comic. While he may not be an Omega lever mutant like his son Legion or Jean Grey his abilities far exceeds his mutant capabilities. Professor X’s history sees him as man on a mission looking to change the world with his philosophies and prowess just like Magneto. He’s the man that started X-Men, he represents the other side of the spectrum.

Charles Xavier is the beacon of hope for the integration of human and mutant kind. Xavier’s School for the GIfted became the home of hundreds including five of the X-Men on the list. Without the professor, a Yin to Magnetos Yang, a peaceful martyr the world would be chaotic. Professor Xavier was solely responsible for the creation of the X-Men. His first recruit and successor was Cyclops who he developed a father-son bond with.

Together they would recruit Iceman, with those two along with Beast, Jean Grey, and Angel the X-Men were formed. They would often battle Magneto who wanted kill humans while continuing to serve as the advocates that human and mutant kindness could live together peacefully. The adventures he led the X-Men are endless as they fought against his brother Juggernaut, his former lover and Empress of the Shi’ar Empire, Lilandra Neramani and many more. There’s no X-Men without the man in the chair with the X in his name.
