2. Captain Comet

There’s no reason why the darker side of DC couldn’t use someone with a lighter tone. Outside of hardcore comic book fans, the name Captain Comet will likely invoke no response.

However, the superhuman born 100,000 years before his time makes for a great movie. Born Adam Blake in 1931, Captain Comet would see his powers manifest as he aged — similar to Superman.

As a teen, Blake interned for Professor Emery Zackro who would help him become the hero Captain Comet. This happened after he witnessed Blake use his telekinesis to stop some thieves. As Captain Comet he battled dinosaurs, alien invaders, and even Darkseid. It’ll be cool to see Captain Comet get some shine on DC’s dark side.
