Leo Howard

The name Leo Howard will not ring any bells for anyone who hasn’t watched him on the Disney Channel. While the thought of a Disney star may throw some people off, Leo Howard is arguably the best fit for Dick Grayson in the DCEU.

To begin with, much like Mazouz, he’s young enough to build a franchise around, at just 20-years old. This would allow the DCEU the freedom to star as Nightwing in a Chris McKay film and also play the role of a teenage Dick Grayson in a Batman film. Additionally, should the DCEU want to exploit Dick Grayson’s adventures as a founder of Young Justice, Howard’s age allows them to do so.

Secondly, he has a great build (5’10) and he’s an actor who can perform his own stunts. As a matter of fact, Howard holds a black belt in Shōrin-ryū and he’s displayed his skills on the big screen and small screen. In fact, he was in the most memorable fight scene in G.I. The Rise of the Cobra Joe as a young Snake Eyes. Furthermore, trained his co-star on the Disney show Kickin’ It.

Howard is a fresh face who’d make for a good budget hire but talented enough to engage fans. Howard is ready to be a breakout action star and Dick Grayson is the perfect role. In the meantime, if you want to see Howard as a leading man check out the Hulu series, Freakish
