4. Another Fantastic Four movie

In 1994 we got the very first live-action big screen depiction of the Fantastic Four by Ole Sassone. 11-years later, in 2005, Tim Story put together a great cast and brought to life the heroes once more.

Unlike the original, Story’s Fantastic Four earned big bucks. Chris Evans proved to be a star while Ioan Gruffudd and Michel Chiklis were fantastic in their roles. With the success of the first film, Fox opted to give Story a sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Story’s Fantastic Four was supposed to be a trilogy but the failed box office numbers shut down any hope. Fox waited a decade after the original to reboot the series. And like the films before it, the Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara led film was a total wash. Fans weren’t feeling the heroes and the story was bland despite the collection of talent — that was in 2015. So it’s safe to say we’ve had our share of Fantastic Four movies we’ll be fine if we don’t get another one, right?

Admittedly, when it comes to comic book movies Disney/Marvel can do no wrong, Thor Dark World doesn’t count. And Iron Man 3 wasn’t bad. Maybe, just for now, we should let that sleeping dog lie for a while.
