10 actresses who could play Zatanna in the DCEU

9. Joey King

The youthful Joey King is an up-and-coming actress. At 19,  King would allow Warner Bros the opportunity to develop a very young Zatanna. Independence Day Resurgence was probably a movie many thought would propel her into the spotlight.

That movie ultimately bombed, but that didn’t stop Hollywood from recognizing King’s talents. King went on to star in a couple of horror films, Wish Upon and Slender Man. It’s her versatility that makes her perfect for Zatanna. Whether it’s a horror movie or something a little lighter, like The Kissing Booth King, she’s showing she can do it all.

8. Hailee Steinfield

There’s not a role 21-year-old actress Hailee Steinfield can’t play. She’s already proven she’s a leading lady and has done so at a young age. True Grit saw her plant her flag in Hollywood as a scene-stealing child star. Pitch Perfect 2 showed she’s a triple threat actress. In Barely Lethal, she proved she can kick butt, while in Term Life, she showed she’s ready for some action.

The Edge of Seventeen saw Steinfield become a critically acclaimed actress once again.  With Bumblebee hitting theaters soon, she’ll prove she’s blockbuster star. Casting Stenfield as Zatanna would be huge for the DCEU. But, they need to jump on her fast because Marvel already has their hands on her as Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse.
