The first trailer for the animated adaptation of Batman: Hush has arrived.

Remember that great graphic novel Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale? At last, we finally have a trailer for the upcoming animated adaption. This is one of DC’s most anticipated animated features this year. Just take a look at the trailer down below:

We got Batman, Nightwing, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Hush and we even catch a shot glimpse of The Scarecrow. Right away, you may notice this is part of the DC Animated Movie Universe. This is the first time we’ll be seeing Catwoman and Batman’s blue and grey suit. In fact, Batman has yet to ever really don this costume in more serious animated adaptions, unless you want to count Batman: The Animated Series.

More from Movies

We have a healthy amount of the character Hush, more so than maybe even the graphic novel. Hush comes off as the threat and a villain that’s always one step ahead of the Batman, which truly proves a threat for the World’s Greatest Detective. Even though the original graphic novel has lots of villains from Batman’s rogues gallery, it seems they are not going to over saturate the film. The key focus is Hush, and Batman tracking him down.

It is especially great to see the epic scenario of Poison Ivy controlling Superman, leading to a fight between her and Catwoman. It appears that Catwoman is playing a central role in the movie, much like the original graphic novel. So far, there’s no sign of Ra’s al-Ghul. Then again, this is the DC Animated Movie Universe, and he meets his demise in Son of Batman. It’s safe to say this does not follow the graphic novel to a tee.

One problem with this trailer is no mention of a release date what so ever. Even the cover is a spin on the original graphic novel cover. With this amazing trailer, it feels they are doing this on purpose just to keep us hooked for more of Batman: Hush.
