By Erik Swann
Power Pack has been on Marvel Studios’ radar for a while and now, it seems the young heroes could may finally get their chance.
Marvel Studios has a plethora of projects on their plate, ranging from films like Black Widow and The Eternals to Disney Plus projects like Loki and WandaVision. Still, when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s always room for more. And a new rumor suggests that some new, young heroes may be on the way.
According to MCU Cosmic, Marvel Studios is actively developing a project based on Power Pack. However, the trade mentions that it’s currently unclear as to whether it would be a film or TV project.
While this is far from confirmed, there are a few factors that would point to Power Pack actually being in the works. In 2017, Marvel Studios was reportedly working on a Power Pack film, that would have a tone similar to Spy Kids. Studio head Kevin Feige also confirmed last year that there had been discussions about the property.

The Power Pack comic book series debuted in 1984 and featured the first preteen superhero team from Marvel Comic. The series introduced the four Power siblings: Alex, Julie, Jack and Katie, who all received energy-based powers from a dying extraterrestrial. The four siblings then used their abilities to rescue their kidnapped parents and, from then on, they remained superheroes. Although the comic featured young heroes, it didn’t stray from covering serious social issues, such as bullying, drug abuse and gun violence. The original series ended with only 62 issues, but it was later rebooted for younger readers in 2005.
Power Pack provides a unique opportunity for Marvel Studios, as they can craft a franchise that is specifically aimed at younger audiences. Whether or not they would appear on the big or small screen is anyone’s guess. But the property could be successful on either medium
