2. Cassie’s Emergence

Cassie Lang has been known for being Scott’s enthusiastic and loving little daughter but, thanks to the events of Avengers: Endgame, she’s now a full-fledged teenager. This — paired with her father’s five-year absence — is sure to shake up the father/daughter relationship.

Once the bright-eyed kid who viewed her father as her hero, she may now be more of the typical teen embarrassed to be seen in public with him. Make no mistake, Cassie still loves her dad, as she was overjoyed when he returned from the Quantum Realm. However, there will be a stark difference between their relationship in the first two movies and their interactions in a possible third installment.

On top of this, there’s also the matter of Cassie’s future. Most probably know by now that, in the comics, Cassie eventually adopts a superhero moniker of her own: Stature. And with Marvel Studios slowly turning to new (and younger) lead characters like Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan, this will surely be the case in the MCU, as well.

Ant-Man 3 could, at the very least, tease Cassie’s future as a superhero and serve as a bit of a passing of the torch from father to daughter. It would also bring the trilogy somewhat full circle, as Hank had to do the same with Hope in the original movie. Cassie Lang has a big (no pun intended) future ahead of her. So why not kick off the beginning of her journey in what could be the end of Scott’s?
