Wonder Woman 1984 has pushed back its release date once again
By Scott Brown
After being moved from its previous release date in June, Wonder Woman 1984 is once again changing its release date.
Following the news that Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, Tenet, would be pushed back two weeks to open on July 31, it has also been revealed that Wonder Woman 1984 is being pushed back again to October 2.
This date range was previously used by Joker in 2019. Both of these change in release dates come amongst the myriad of date changes due to the uncertain nature of theater culture due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
October 2 will be the fifth release date that Wonder Woman 1984 has held after the original release announcement for the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman.
Originally supposed to be released on December 13, 2019, the date was subsequently pushed up to November 1, 2019. The film was then delayed to June 5, 2020 before being once again pushed back to August 14 and now October 2 due to the ongoing pandemic.
