6. Keke Palmer

Should the MCU opt for an actress who has a strong following, Keke Palmer is it. She’s been a name linked to Storm in fan castings for some time — for good reason. The 26-year-old actress has both the skills and resumé of a vet. The former child star continues to grow as an actress and she has everything you want in Storm.

Unlike some other names on the list, her version of Storm would be very young and undoubtedly star in more of a coming-of-age story. There wouldn’t even need to be a romance between this version of Storm and Black Panther and that’d be okay – it’s not like their marriage worked out in the comics, anyway. With that said, they could introduce Storm as more of an outcast looking for a place to call home, and she finds it in Wakanda.

5. Tika Sumpter

If the MCU wants a Storm who’s a seasoned hero, they could opt for an actress like Tika Sumpter. No, she hasn’t been in many starring roles, but she’s proven to be an excellent supporting actress.

Sumpter co-starred alongside Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in the Ride Along movies and she went on to co-star alongside Tiffany Haddish in Nobody’s Fool. Most recently, she co-starred in the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog. As usual, she brought the funny to the blockbuster.

But fans of her work know she’s not just comedic.  If you want an example of Sumpert’s versatility, check her out in Richard Tanner’s Southside With You. Sumpter plays Michelle Robinson in the romantic drama about the Obamas’ first date.
