3. Gemma Arterton

Gemma Arterton, like Alexandria Daddario, has a certain following in fan-cast circles — for good reason. The Runner Runner actress is underrated as she’s one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood. There’s not a role that she’s played that she hasn’t nailed. No matter the character nor film, Arterton found a way to shine. In fact, the English-born actress has a few critically-acclaimed performances to her name: The Girl with All the Gifts, The Escape, and Their Finest.

Fans of the 34-year old actress know that she’s no stranger to the supernatural, starring as a vampire mother, Clara Webb in Byzantium. She also showed she can kick-butt in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Of course, Zatanna requires a softer touch, Arterton has that as well. Look no further than her role as the angelic Io in Clash of the Titans or Tamina in Prince of Persia.

Arterton’s version of Zatanna could have a romantic link to Constantine in a film that picks up after their love ends. It’s easy to picture her as the majestic, alluring stage performer who’s not quite keen with her magic; in a world where she’s putting on a smile to hide her loneliness. However, when she finds herself in trouble, she’d proves she’s more than just magic tricks.
