15 comic book characters that deserve your attention in 2022

8. Wilson Fisk
As this is being written, Wilson Fisk is Mayor of New York. The former Kingpin of crime is running things. The funny part is he wasn’t doing a bad job. He kept most of his biases in check and even stood back to back with Daredevil as they protected Hell’s Kitchen. If it wasn’t for Fisk seeing the blank file that was labeled “Daredevil’s identity”, he may have continued to do a good job. Nevertheless, he did and here we are.
Fisk won’t be mayor by the end of Devil’s Reign. The heroes want Luke Cage to run for mayor and he’ll likely win. If Luke is victorious, one of two things will happen: Fisk will go back to being the Kingpin of Crime or he’ll run for president. Either way, this is something readers should pay attention to.

7. Moon Knight
Moon Knight has been a must-read Marvel comic, highlighting Moon Knight’s mental health issues while seeing him work on them. He’s seeing a therapist and also letting his friends help him – two things that he’s not used to doing.
Of course, there’s also the jokes, the fighting, and random rogues gallery we have all come to know and love from the character. All of it has been a 10 out of 10 so far, setting the stage perfectly for his Disney Plus series.
