Honestly, watching the show back, it's wild how some of the characters were introduced and what their very first lines happened to be. Some lines are certainly more impactful and memorable than others. There are few characters whose first words actually were impactful, which is a bit ironic as there's nothing like a first impression.
While characters have made memorable first impressions with their debuts, such as when Billy rode into Hawkins and immediately turned heads, few have had impactful opening lines. In fact, some are so funny looking back at some of the opening lines for characters such as Nancy who began talking about Steve being cute and has come on such a journey since that first season.
Although the opening lines of the characters might not have been as memorable, we'll have to wait to see if anyone gets any iconic last words. Eddie Munson's final words to Dustin as he died in his friend's arm, saying, "I love you, man," before he passed away. It was one of the most emotional moments of the series.
With a few more episodes before the show ends, we'll see if anyone else gets iconic last words, but we're hoping those last words would essentially come via the characters' final words before the show ends. We don't need any character deaths at this point.
