9 video games to look forward to in 2024
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Players are skeptical of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and with good reason. Many hoped Rocksteady would develop a Superman project or even a Justice League game after their work on the Batman: Arkham Saga. So when it was announced the acclaimed studio was developing a Suicide Squad game, many people couldn't help but feel confused. Worse of all, the project's live service features certainly raised some eyebrows.
But let's leave all doubts aside for a minute. After all, Rocksteady has proven to know how to create an amazing game that makes great use of iconic DC characters. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could very well shatter all expectations and become one of the biggest surprises in 2024. Besides, it won't be long before we finally find out if the game's a worthy successor to Batman: Arkham Knight or not.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to release on February 2, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox series X/S, and PC.
Hades 2
Ever since Supergiant Games was founded in 2009, the independent studio had never worked on a sequel for one of its games until now. The sole fact that they are developing a direct continuation for Hades should speak to the game's great impact and success. Many outlets were quick to deem Hades the best game of the year even when it competed against the likes of acclaimed titles such as Ghost of Tsushima.
So with all the success and glory, why stop there?
We don't have a specific release date yet for Hades 2 yet. However, we do have a release window for the game's early access and that's Q2 2024. The game will initially be released on PC and, at a later point, on consoles. But one thing's for certain: we can't wait to go back to the Greek world that Supergiant Games meticulously crafted for us with an all-new protagonist this time around.
