The San Diego Comic-Con always announces good news for comic book fans and 2024 was no different. Marvel Comics released trailers and cover art for projects coming in both this year and 2025. For example, after Wade Wilson dies in Cody Ziglar's Deadpool, his daughter Ellie will take on the mantle.

Yes, there were a lot of great reveals from this year's SDCC. Out of everything reported, these are the five upcoming titles you should get excited about.

One World Under Doom

Dr. Doom is always planning something. At the end of the X-Men No. 35/Uncanny X-Men No. 700, Dr. Doom made one of his mutants steal a flower from Krakoa. In Blood Hunt No. 4, he agrees to help stop the vampires if Stephen Strange makes him Sorcerer Supreme. The agreement is confirmed during Strange Academy Blood Hunt No. 3. Those won’t be his last moves as he may become ruler of the world in One World Under Doom in 2025.

Dr. Doom is one of the most beloved comic book villains. He’s a genius, a sorcerer, and his arrogance is funny and justified. That’s proven in 2015’s Secret Wars when he saves the multiverse. Let’s see how he does in 2025, how he comes into power, and which heroes follow his lead.

8 Deaths of Spider-Man

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu No. 0 sneakily announces the death of Peter Parker in The Eight Deaths of Spider-Man. As if that isn’t enough to get readers intrigued, Marvel adds the new Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Doom to the mix.

The interesting thing about this is if Doom helps Spider-Man (or vice versa), Peter may trust Doom more for keeping him alive. This will go a long way to Doom becoming ruler of the world. However, Doom giving Spider-Man a magic suit could be a way for him to study Parker’s spider-powers. It’s no different from when Tony Stark did it in Civil War.

Wolverine: Revenge

Marvel announced that writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Greg Capullo were teaming up to create Wolverine Revenge’s. Capullo is one of Wolverine’s best artists and Hickman is a premier writer and now they’re making, as Marvel puts it, this is “set to become one of the defining—and most brutal—tales in Wolverine’s storied legend.”

If you need more reasons to read this, it looks like the original Nick Fury returns and Logan is fighting dinosaurs.

Venom War

Admittedly, this writer is not a big Venom fan. Nevertheless, the trailer above did its job. Venom War looks amazing. Eddie Brock and his team are going up against his son. There are appearances from Spider-Man (of course), Wolverine, Agent Venom, Carnage, Deadpool, and more. The winner of the war will be the one, true Venom.

A new TVA

Lastly, we have what could be one of the biggest announcements of the day. Disney Plus’ Loki writer Katharyn Blair uses the TVA to unite the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the comics. Marvel.com reports “The series will represent an evolution for the Marvel Comics’ version of the TVA as it is blended with its Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart.”

Loki characters Hunter B-15, Sylvie, Miss Minutes, and Mobius are joined by Ghost Spider (Gwen Stacy), Gambit from an alternate reality, OB, and Captain Carter. While this is only a five-part mini-series, this could lead to some big things in the future. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out what that is.
