Not To Be Left Out, Superman Will Also Sport New Duds This Summer
By Nick Tylwalk
Hey, didn’t Superman just get a new costume? It’s getting a little hard to keep track.

In any case, DC clearly wants to shake things up for its famous Trinity when June rolls around. First it was Batman getting a dramatic makeover (and possibly a different man inside the suit as well), then we saw Wonder Woman fully covered and sporting retractable blades.
The Man of Steel isn’t going to be left out, it seems, as DC turned to Nerdist to do the exclusive reveal earlier today. But where Batman and Wonder Woman got more armor, Superman is going with … jeans?
Take a look at the cover to Action Comics #41:
While it’s certainly possible Superman won’t look like this in all of his appearances, he’s in the same clothes on the cover of Superman/Wonder Woman #18, which also hits in June. As CBR notes, it’s actually a throwback look for Superman in a way, as it calls to mind the appearance of the hero in his younger days in Action Comics right after the New 52 cranked up.
It will be really interesting to see what the Trinity looks like in new issues of Justice League, but it’s clear DC is willing to experiment and shake things up after Convergence. We’re not getting a reboot, but bold changes still look like the plan. It’s going to be an interesting summer, to say the least.
