Is it December 18 yet? That's the question that Marvel fans have been asking themselves for the past few months as the wait for Avengers: Doomsday continues, but the good news is that we can say that it's nearly here. Yes, the long-awaited, highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is almost just one month away, so we're all about to experience the grandeur, scale, and high stakes encounter that comes with an Avengers movie. This time, however, the stakes couldn't be any higher as the fate of the multiverse hangs in the balance.

We have gotten glimpses of what's to come in the multiple teaser trailers, TV spots, and graphics that Marvel Studios has released ahead of the movie's release. But with the two teasers in particular sticking to similar theming, ideas, and even scenes - almost all of which revolve around the the threat that Doctor Doom poses - fans are eagerly awaiting the third trailer in the coming days. Now, a new update suggests that it's not too far off either.

New Avengers: Doomsday trailer is imminent, according to insiders

According to industry insider ProjectHurts, the next Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be released before November 19. The scooper revealed that, after consulting with other insiders, the trailer for the upcoming Marvel Studios movie will make its presence felt on the public before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 (which comes out on November 19).

This comes after other insiders had predicted that the next look at the film would come between November 10 and November 25, so it sounds like the window has been narrowed down a bit further, with that nine day period between the 10th and the 19th looking like the most likely at this point. And as that would be directly one month out from the release of the movie itself.

The first two trailers were released pretty close together, with the studio unveiling the first one ahead of San Diego Comic-Con before screening the second exclusively for audiences in attendance at that event. The latter was subsequently released to a worldwide audience during the Marvel Studios presentation at the D23 Entertainment Showcase event. This back-to-back approach worked like a dream, driving up anticipation further during convention season. However, it has also created a hunger among fans for even more.

With that in mind, here are the dates in which the previous trailers were released, along with the dates attached to more recent TV spots - all of which very much suggests that a new one is imminent:

That Steve Rogers TV spot was the first significant teaser in quite some time to feature brand new footage, relying on that primarily over any recycled shots from the previous full-length trailers. If anything, that's an indicator that a new, full-length trailer is coming.

But what would that new trailer feature? As we mentioned above, both of the first two leaned into similar elements of the upcoming movie, teasing Doctor Doom's all-powerful reign of terror, the Avengers' reaction to it, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes' battle with the X-Men, In the grand scheme of what is seemingly set to be a 2 hour and 45 minutes-long movie, that is just a small fraction of what's really in store. And that makes any potential new trailer all the more must-watch.

Again, we will likely see an extended look at the clips featured in the "Captains America" TV spot, but that is likely only the beginning. Fans are hoping to see a hint or reference of another major set piece of the film. Right now, the X-Men vs. Avengers battle - which eventually leads to the two teams uniting (along with the Fantastic Four) - is what the vast majority of promotional material has spoltighted. According to reports, those aren't even the main battles of the film, which means that there is a host of footage that has yet to see the light of day. Perhaps the third and final trailer is when that will be unveiled.

The good news is that we won't have to wait much longer to see what it's like.
