The excitement for Deadpool and Wolverine continues to increase with each day, and that was clearer than ever when the film's second trailer made its way online. A multiversal phenomenon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film's focus on the returning Hugh Jackman as Logan is definitely a genius marketing move considering there was already enough hype for a third Deadpool movie, as it took that anticipation and sent it into the stratosphere.

We mentioned the multiverse and that's because this one is giving Spider-Man: No Way Home levels of giddiness for fans when it comes to potential cameos and returns. Jackman's is at the top of that list, but we also know that the movie will feature multiple X-Men stars, some of whom appeared in that aforementioned second trailer.

However, according to a new report, we can now expect another MCU character to return.

Loki's Hunter B-15 rumored to appear in Deadpool and Wolverine

A new report from The Cosmic Circus states that Loki's Wunmi Mosaku is set to reprise her role as Hunter B-15 in Deadpool and Wolverine. The report doesn't suggest that it's a cameo appearance but it does acknowledge that the role will be brief as she will be there to "handle the situation that presents itself in the film".

If Mosaku does indeed turn out to be in the film, her return would be a welcome surprise. Some fans were expecting at least one member of the Time Variance Authority seen on the Disney Plus series to feature in some capacity due to the TVA's role in the upcoming movie, and given how prominent a character Hunter B-15 became throughout Loki's run, it's understandable that it could be her who returns. Is the situation she's set to handle in the film Wade Wilson's arrival and on-boarding for the mission?

If you've seen the trailers for Deadpool and Wolverine, you will know that the TVA is expected to play quite a major role in the movie. From what we have seen thus far, it is the organization who reach out to and recruit Wade Wilson. It seems like he's being recruited to save his universe, but based on rumors and the fact that Deadpool ends up battling TVA agents (a.k.a. Minutemen), it's quite possible that they are among the movie's villains (alongside Cassandra Nova, who made her first appearance in that second trailer).

Unless the version of Hunter B-15 that appears is a Variant (this is rumored to be a different version of the TVA), we doubt that she will be a villainous character in the movie. She was one of the few members of the TVA in Loki to actually have a moral complex and she vowed to change the organization for the better. Perhaps she's attempting to do the same to this branch of the TVA too.

While all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt until confirmed by Marvel Studios, the thought of seeing yet another beloved character appear in the movie is very exciting indeed - especially as the future of the Loki series remains uncertain.

Deadpool and Wolverine will be released in movie theaters on July 26, 2024.
