We've seen no shortage of iconic crossovers take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since Earth's Mightiest Heroes assembled for the very first time all the way back in 2012, many beloved characters have come together in the name of the greater good.
Spider-Man saved reality as a whole by teaming up with two multiversal versions of himself. Furthermore, the Guardians of the Galaxy finally crossed paths with the Avengers with the release of Infinity War. But if that wasn't enough, the Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, X-Men, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes will all appear in Avengers: Doomsday. That being said, there's one big team-up that eludes us to date.
Superhero fans know Spider-Man and Daredevil are very good friends in the comic book world. As such, we were all excited to see them briefly interact on the big screen, courtesy of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Unfortunately, neither of them was wearing their superhero costume, but will Brand New Day be the project that finally changes that? Well, not only does the ending of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 suggest that this will be the case, but Marvel itself has already teased the upcoming crossover.
Before we continue: be warned. There will be spoilers for the ending of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ahead. Don't keep reading unless you are already up to date on the Man Without Fear's latest adventure.

Spider-Man and Daredevil could meet in jail in Brand New Day, and Marvel already teased their crossover
If you read comic books or watched the second season of Netflix's Daredevil, then you already know the Hand is one of the most iconic Daredevil villains ever created. That's why the whole world was shocked to learn the criminal organization is finally coming back to the MCU... in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Better yet, they could be the missing piece that brings together the Wall-Crawler and the Man Without Fear.
The Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale saw Matt Murdock reveal his secret identity to the world and go to jail for all of the crimes he committed as a "vigilante." As luck would have it, there's a shot in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer where Peter fights multiple members of The Hand... in a jail. The pieces are already set for the two to join forces and take down many evil ninjas together. Better yet, Marvel has already teased their crossover.
Daredevil: Born Again composers, The Newton Brothers, confirmed they hid a Spider-Man Easter Egg in the finale of the show's first season, so it's clear Marvel has been intending for the two fan-favorite heroes to team up for months now. Furthermore, this isn't the only connection these characters share.
Punisher, who made his debut in Netflix's Daredevil and was last seen during the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 1, is confirmed to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Furthermore, multiple reports indicate that Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple will also show up in the Wall-Crawler's upcoming adventure. Why is this important? Because her character was teased during the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, further strengthening the connection between these two heroes.
Reliable insider Alex Perez stated that Marvel wants to create a massive street-level crossover movie where the likes of Daredevil, Spider-Man, the Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and more come together to put an end to the Kingpin's reign of terror. If that's the case, then it wouldn't be beyond Marvel to tease this long-awaited team-up during the events of their next street-level adventure, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Spider-Man already has three MCU movies under his belt, while the current iteration of Matt Murdock has appeared in five seasons of television (with a sixth one coming next year). Their team-up has been a long time coming, but the pieces are already in place for the two to join forces. Fortunately, it won't be long before we finally figure out what Marvel has in store for us.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
