Superhero fans worldwide have waited a long time to watch the first full-length Avengers: Doomsday trailer. Back in December 2025, Disney decided to release four short teasers that gave us a small glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover. Ever since that moment, there has been no shortage of theories on when we'd get the next look at the highly anticipated film, and none of them have materialized just yet.
The Super Bowl, CinemaCon, CCXPMX, and SXSW London have all been, at some point, ideal candidates for the release of the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer. But now that we've exhausted every other possible option, only one possibility remains: San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Marvel Studios has confirmed it will hold its iconic Hall H panel later this month, and while it hasn't been revealed what will be showcased during the event, Avengers: Doomsday banners have been spotted near the arena.
It's all but confirmed that the trailer is finally coming our way, but what can we actually expect to see in it? Well, thanks to CinemaCon, we have a good idea of what surprises lie in store.

The Avengers: Doomsday trailer should finally showcase Doom in action and give us a taste of the Avengers vs. X-Men storyline
The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer was showcased exclusively to attendees at CinemaCon, and while the footage didn't make its way online, we have descriptions of it to go by. One of the biggest takeaways is that audiences finally got to see Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom in action, fighting against Thor and talking to Professor X.
So far, the ruler of Latveria hasn't been featured in any project, aside from that quick cameo in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, in which he had his back turned to the camera. While concept art and promotional material have unveiled his final design, he wasn't featured in any of the Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailers, meaning we haven't properly seen him in live-action just yet. Fortunately, that's about to change thanks to the release of the film's full trailer.
Another key detail to mention about the CinemaCon trailer is that there were multiple shots of the Avengers fighting the X-Men. Attendees caught a glimpse of Yelena Belova fighting Mystique (who was disguised as Yelena herself). Additionally, Shang-Chi was seen fighting Gambit. We also know that Nightcrawler will go toe-to-toe with Mr. Fantastic, as revealed by Alan Cumming. Chances are that some of these sequences will be unveiled for the whole world to see.

We also need to take into consideration the big Avengers: Doomsday footage leak that occurred back in June. Superhero fans worldwide were unexpectedly treated to a sequence where Earth's Mightiest Heroes team up with the X-Men to fight against Sentinels controlled by Doom himself. Knowing that many people have already watched this sequence, there's a chance that Marvel could simply decide to release it as part of the trailer.
Last, but certainly not least, it has been rumored that Hasbro intends to showcase its first wave of Avengers: Doomsday Marvel Legends figures at SDCC. One of the toys will reportedly be based on Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, basically confirming that the iconic Marvel legend will be a part of the upcoming crossover. If that were to be the case, then there's also a chance he will appear in the trailer too.
After missing out on SDCC last year, Marvel will undoubtedly look to make a triumphant return to Hall H. With that in mind, the Avengers: Doomsday trailer is all but confirmed to come our way during the event at this point. After all, it's not like the movie is too far away now. So, with a bit of luck, the footage will prove to be worth the wait.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026.
