There isn't long to go now until we return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of New York City. And if you've been watching the MCU since the beginning, you'll know that good things rarely happen in the MCU's version of the Big Apple. From the invasion of the Chituari in The Avengers to The Void's short-lived reign of terror in Thunderbolts*, the city's seen quite a lot of unrest since the franchise began in 2008. But perhaps it's facing its biggest threat now in the form of Mayor Wilson Fisk.

The Kingpin was elected to office in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, which has prompted Matt Murdock to resurrect the Devil of Hell's Kitchen to stop him. And, with the second season of the Disney Plus show almost upon us, it's clear that he won't be alone in taking the fight to his archenemy.

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again was a star-studded affair, bringing back a number of faces from the original Daredevil series on Netflix (including Jon Bernthal's Punisher). But the second ups the ante, with some more major returning cast members that fans have been waiting years to see again. With that in mind, here are all of the Netflix stars we can expect to see in season 2.

Charlie Cox leads the charge as Matt Murdock / Daredevil

This one will come as no surprise. Charlie Cox made his triumphant return as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again and he quickly reminded us all why he's so beloved. Although he has appeared in multiple MCU projects since the end of the original Netflix series (Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and Echo), the Disney Plus series marked his full-time return to the role, allowing him to fully take center stage as Matt Murdock once again.

Daredevil rose from the ashes in the first season of the revival show as the Kinpin assumed office in his city. The corruption from the convicted felon - along with some new dangers - forced Matt to put on the mask once again (after spending much of the season deliberating on whether he should or not) and now he's going to amass an army to stop the danger once and for all, by rising up and taking the villain down.

Vincent D'Onofrio and Ayelet Zurer return as Wilson and Vanessa Fisk

Vincent D'Onofrio and Ayelet Zurer also made their triumphant returns to the MCU as the Fisks in the first season of the show and they are back for more in season 2 as the duo has become more powerful than ever. Although the Kingpin and his wife had experienced difficulties in their marriage throughout season 1, they realigned themselves in the finale - which makes them an extremely frightening combination of evil. And given that there was once hope that Vanessa could be redeemed, that perhaps makes her even more terrifying than her husband.

Although D'Onofrio was always planned to be a part of the show - he made his official return to Marvel in Hawkeye and returned again in spinoff Echo - Marvel Studios had originally opted to recast Zurer's Vanessa as they were planning to reboot the Daredevil franchise. But after outrage from fans and a change in direction, Zurer was rightfully asked back as the character. We can't wait to see what she and D'Onofrio deliver in season 2.

Deborah Ann Woll is back as Karen Page (full-time!)

As fantastic as it was to see Deborah Ann Woll return as Karen Page in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, it was frustrating that the beloved character was only in two episodes. That was evidence of the show's original vision, which didn't involve any stars of the Netflix shows returning, still lingering behind in the finished product... even after the creative reboot. The good news is that Karen's return in the finale has set the stage for a much stronger role in the second season.

From the trailers, it's clear that Karen will be involved in the storyline in a major capacity as she aids Matt in assembling an army to take down the Kingpin. From her convincing red-haired disguise in the streets of New York to her apparent missions with Daredevil himself, we're going to see a lot more of Karen this season. And that is undoubtedly one of the most exciting aspects of Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

Elden Henson brings Foggy Nelson back (for a possible flashback)

No, your eyes do not deceive you: Foggy Nelson will return to our screens too. Yes, the character was wrongfully killed off in the first season by Bullseye (orchestrated by Vanessa Fisk), but he will be back in at least some capacity for the second season. Although we probably shouldn't expect him to return from the dead (but there is a way that this could happen), it will be great to see the beloved character at least one more time.

Not only has Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Animation, and Television, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed that Henson will appear in season 2, a recent TV spot for the upcoming season features what appears to be a flashback to Foggy's younger days (as it sees Henson sport the same look he sported throughout all three seasons of Netflix's Daredevil). That will undoubtedly make for an emotional moment.

Krysten Ritter makes her long-awaited comeback as Jessica Jones

It's the return we've all been waiting for: Krysten Ritter finally makes her highly-anticipated return as Jessica Jones for the first time since 2019. The star, who was one of the faces of the Netflix Marvel era, starred in three seasons of Jessica Jones while also crossing paths with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defenders before Netflix pulled the plug on that era of Marvel TV. But when Marvel Studios officially confirmed these shows as canon to the MCU, it was only a matter of time until she returned.

Ritter's comeback was officially confirmed last year, but it was clear that it would happen before that. Marvel fans were eagerly awaiting any signs of a Defenders star signing onto the second season of Born Again when it became clear that the season would be all about Matt recruiting allies. Given his affinity for grounded streetwise heroes, it felt like The Defenders were obvious choices. Although we only have official confirmation that one will be back, we cannot wait to see Jessica and Daredevil share the screen together again. The Kingpin better watch his back!

Wilson Bethel brings Bullseye back

Considering that Bullseye was very much positioned as the villain of one standalone season (the third season of the original Daredevil series), it's pretty darn impressive how the creative team of Born Again have found new ways to repeatedly involve him in the new show's storylines. From the revelation that he killed Foggy at Vanessa's behest to the brutal scenes in which he narrowly avoided death at the hands of the Fisks, he did a lot with respectable screen-time.

Seeing Bethel do his thing again as the character was a thrill of season 1, and it turns out that we'll get to see him do it all again in season 2. The character managed to evade the Kingpin's corrupt anti-vigilante force after targetting him and it appears that he might just join Daredevil's crusade against the villain in season 2. That's thrilling and terrifying at the same time.

Royce Johnson as Brett Mahoney

Perhaps one of the most unexpected - but extremely pleasant - surprises in terms of Daredevil returns is that of Royce Johnson's. The actor played Sergeant-turned-Detective Brett Mahoney in the original Netflix series, who recurred as a friend of Foggy Nelson's and a possible ally of Daredevil's. He had his biggest role in the third season of the show when he helped protect Agent Nadeem from the Kingpin, and that makes his impending comeback all the more worthwhile.

Mahoney was a great addition to the original series, but that show ended right as he was able to share in the spotlight. We can't wait to see what he does in the revival when he makes his long-awaited return. Considering how close he was to Foggy, you can bet that he'll be out for justice - with his sights set on bringing down the Fisks once and for all.

More Defenders stars are rumored to appear

With Krysten Ritter officially back as Jessica Jones, fans are holding out hope that Finn Jones and Mike Colter will return as Iron Fist and Luke Cage too, allowing Born Again to engineer a Defenders reunion. There has been no official confirmation that this will be the case, but there have been a number of signs to suggest that it could realistically happen.

For starters, a number of industry insiders have reported that the duo will return. Colter and Jones were also in New York at the same time - during which Daredevil: Born Again season 2 was filming on location in the city - and the former has offered up some teases that it's only a matter of time until we see Luke Cage again.

Here's hoping we get the chance to see all four Defenders on our screen at the same time at some point throughout the season. Wilson Fisk wouldn't stand a chance.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 arrives on Disney Plus on March 24, 2026.
