Fan-favorite fantasy series Once Upon a Time is still a show that I like to rewatch, and have very fond memories over. It's one of my all-time favorites, and it still holds a special place in my heart to this day. And I'm sure many of you fellow Oncers are the same! The premise of the fairy tale series was genius from the very start. And it got us hooked (pun intended!) from the pilot. As someone whose watched many shows over the years, I still think OUAT's first episode is one of the best ever. It starts off with the traditional Snow White story, but it quickly takes a turn as we see the show's own reinvented take on these classic tales. From the Evil Queen's iconic "sorry I'm late" and a Disney princess holding up a sword for the first time, to going to the real world and introducing Emma, Henry, and Storybrooke. That pilot just had it all!

It's also thanks to the talents of the actors who brought the beloved characters to life that contributed to the success of the series. Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan; Colin O'Donoghue as Captain Hook/Killian Jones; Josh Dallas as Charming/David; Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow/Mary Margaret; Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina; Sean Maguire as Robin Hood; Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold; Emile de Ravin as Belle; Jared Gilmore as Henry; Rebecca Mader as Zelena; and the numerous other characters that were a part of the story really helped elevate it to another level.

Though it's a show full of magic and fairy tales, many of the tales and characters are relatable, which is another reason why I think viewers and fans connect to OUAT so much. At the end of the day no matter how many twists and turns were thrown at us, it's a story about love, hope, family, and second chances. There's so many great messages Once Upon a Time was able to portray, and that's why I'm proud to be called a Oncer! What about you?
